ISTINBAT / REVELATORY

İstinbat was one of the nine installations showcased at “Day, Light, Night” exhibition which was curated by lighting designer Ulrike Brandi to celebrate 25th anniversary of Istanbul based lighting firm Tepta. The exhibit was held between 19th of October 2016 to 26th of February 2017 at İstanbul Modern. The curator states, the conceptual framework of the exhibition was inspired by the way Istanbul’s temperament varies depending on the hour and weather conditions of the day.

“The Light. You can’t hold it, you can’t grasp it.

You can’t touch, hear or smell it.

It has no taste and it’s not visible by itself.

But it shows you the invisible, it reveals the hidden.

You’ll marvel at it, you’ll be surprised…”
