EAA is at the WAF finals with 9 projects…
World Architecture Festival has been on board since 2008 for sharing and celebrating architectural excellence from across the globe. The venue has a signifiant role in world architecture scene with not only the comprehensive exhibitions, talks and seminars but also with the awards in various categories.
WAF, that has started in Barcelona in 2008 has been located at Singapur since three years. Each year, hundreds of projects are being sent to the committee and finalist projects in specific categories are selected to be presented to the WAF jury.
As EAA, we have attended the festival since the beginning and have gained several successes. At WAF, which we could only compete with one project in 2008, the Ipekyol Textile Factory, that later had Agha Khan Award in 2010, AGU Campus was awarded The Education Category Winner in 2012 and Sancaklar Mosque was awarded The Religious Category Winner in 2013.
This year, EAA holds the festival record, as the program director beloved Paul Finch announced in Istanbul at the Shortlist Party on 8th July, with nine projects. Consequently,

Projects wil be presented to the juy by our colleagues Leyla Kori, Natali Tombak, Özge Ertoptamış and Zeynep Uşşaklı between 1st-3rd October.
Moreover, Emre Arolat will present at the festival ; as a Juror on Thursday, October 2nd in
“The Completed Buildings Category-Culture and Civic”
and as a speaker on October 3rd at 9.40 on the subject of
“Urban Transformation-Moscow and Istanbul: from past to future.
