Emre Arolat at the Belt & Road Symposium 2025!
A noteworthy international gathering in February was the Belt & Road Symposium 2025, organized by the Hong Kong Institute of Architects. Emre Arolat, Founder and Design Partner of EAA, was among the distinguished architects from around the world invited to speak at this significant event.
In his speech titled “NEGOTIATING OBJECTIONS: by Using the Specifics of CONTEXT,” Emre touched on his personal architectural journey while outlining EAA’s design approach. He emphasized the relationship with context as a fundamental element of architectural production. The presentation also offered in-depth insights into projects such as the Istanbul Painting & Sculpture Museum, the Museum Hotel Antakya, and the Sancaklar Mosque, highlighting the importance of Emre’s critical stance throughout the design process.
