We’re delighted to share that EAA – Emre Arolat Architecture has been shortlisted in five categories at this year’s World Architecture Festival (WAF) 2025, affirming the studio’s enduring commitment to site-specific, visionary design.
This year’s shortlist underscores EAA’s ongoing commitment to designing contextually responsive, forward-thinking spaces that engage with their surroundings—historically, socially, and ecologically. Spanning both future projects and completed works, the selected entries demonstrate a wide range of scales, functions, and geographies.
Here’s a closer look at the recognised works:

Built on the campus of Middle East Technical University in Ankara, this completed project reflects EAA’s approach to academic architecture: flexible, sustainable, and profoundly connected to its educational mission and setting.

Located 2km from Central Medina, the project acts as a gateway between the inner and outer city, transforming a 59,000 sqm site into a lush public park with residences, hotel, and retail. Inspired by Medina’s courtyards and date farms, it blends tradition with sustainability, offering shaded green spaces, sky gardens, and inward-facing terraces for a vibrant, walkable urban experience.

A dynamic new cultural complex, this project in Central Asia brings together performance, education, and public engagement. With a form inspired by the resonance of sound and community, it’s envisioned as a civic landmark rooted in musical heritage.

Set along the Mediterranean coast, Le Meridien Antalya is designed as a contemporary hospitality destination that intertwines resort opulence with local identity. The project reimagines leisure through architectural forms by abstracting the traditional.

This visionary masterplan engages with the sensitive historic landscape of Badr Battlefield, transforming it into a layered, experience-driven cultural environment shaped by wind patterns, sand dunes, and collective memory.
